Students holding booksWelcome to the Rural Point Library Media Center! Our mission is to foster a love of reading. Students discover their personal reading interests while developing literacy, library, and inquiry skills. Creativity and curiosity are encouraged, so our students become lifelong learners and seekers of knowledge.

Policies and Procedures

Students check out books during their weekly class library time. Students may also check out books on days that are not their library day during the morning check out time from 7:45-8:00 AM.

Kindergarten and first grade students may check out one book per week.

Second through 5th grade students may check out two books per week.


In order to check out a new book each week, students must return their library books before their class’s weekly library period.
If materials are lost or damaged, there will be a fine for the price of the item and the required library-style binding.
